How it started... <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henri Van Buggenhout (born October 7, 1910) was a farmer in Aaigem<\/strong>, located at the gateway to the Flemish Ardennes, <\/strong>and always had 1 or 2 mares available on the farm to carry out the work. With these mares, he also bred a foal each year. His showpiece was undoubtedly Tosca de Lompres (1960)<\/strong>, a mare he purchased, which achieved success in competitions and also left her mark on the later draft horse population. She was, among other things, the mother of Z\u00e9phir van Hazelbeek<\/strong> (1975) and Yorkhaise van Hazelbeek<\/strong> (1974). The latter, in turn, was the mother of the famous champion stallion of 1986 - Bloc Van Oombergen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The further course<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a child, Marnick helped on his parents' farm. However, due to a severe horse allergy, the horse passion didn\u2019t catch him right away. That happened later, after the death of his father Henri in 1986. The horse activities had somewhat slowed down due to Henri's illness, but in 1993, the breeding program was strengthened. Marnick's brother, Val\u00e8re, bought the pregnant mare Mina van't Langhof.<\/strong> The foal was born, a filly named Oliva van Hazelbeek<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Father and two daughters<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marnick is a proud father of two daughters, Elize and Virgini, both of whom inherited the love for horses and felt the need for their own horse, as little girls often do. In 2004 <\/strong>werd Bianca van Hazelbeek<\/strong> Marnick's parental farm was the birthplace of a filly from Oliva van Hazelbeek and Buffalo van't Camillienhof. It was decided to purchase Bianca together (Marnick, Elize, and Virgini). From the very beginning, it turned out to be a great success. Bianca's competition career got off to a flying start: she became reserve foal champion at the foal competition in Deinze, foal champion in Sint-Lievens-Houtem, and International foal champion in Gerwen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A fresh start, de Parelhoeve<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal: to continue the high-quality breeding as a hobby, breed a foal every year, and participate in competitions. Bianca\u2019s offspring performed well at the competitions, and the choices became difficult. The breeding program grew, and several stallions were kept. A new stable name was chosen in the process. 'De Parelhoeve'. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
